Ingredients for 1 bouquet garni:

  • parsley
  • green part of a leek
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 celery branch
  • some thyme sprigs

Method for Preparing a Bouquet Garni:

Prepare all the ingredients.

Place the parsley within the green part of the leek...

...add thyme...

...1/2 or 1 bayleaf (not more) and the celery branch.

Cover the whole with a leek leaf (green part)...

...and tie the whole firmly into a bundle.

Cut both ends. Keep aside.

Bouquet Garni
This is a great recipe for many different dishes. We llived in France for several years and often used this, I like to make my own and I make enough to freeze. All of these spices are mild and supple......hope you enjoy
