Important! Black steel - or blue steel- is a material that tends to rust when kept in a damp environment. All black steel pans should be thoroughly dried after each use.

Season the pan before the first use:
Immerse the pan in hot water for a few minutes and remove any protective coating residue with a brush.
Dry the pan, then fry potato peels or slices in oil, sprinkled with salt.
Throw it in the bin. Heat the pan with oil again, remove the pan from the heat and wipe with paper towel.
After each use: Wipe the pan with paper towel, or rinse with hot water if needed. Do not use cleaning detergent. Dry then grease slightly.
